“I support the Progress through Truth slate because of the experience, honesty, and integrity displayed which is necessary to keep our union strong and respected.  We have all benefited from the work they have put in over the last couple of years.”

Other things you want to say about the slate or specific members on the slate:

“I have known Tim Sappington for 36 years, and I had the opportunity early in my career to work with not only him, but his brother and father as well.  All 3 proved to be excellent operators, and even better people.  Tim has experience extending beyond the job duties of an operator; he spent a good deal of time at the school as both a teacher and administrator.  While there it was obvious to everyone that Tim cared a lot for the members, students, and union as a whole.  Since becoming the President and business manager, Tim has continued to put the members first and does all he can to support the union.  The Sappington/Gray slate is the one who will continue to move us forward in the right direction.”

“They have shown the leadership that is needed to take on the issues that could be detrimental to our Union.  Union contracts, Right-to-Work, Repeal of the Prevailing Wage Law, Union Dues Increase and COVID-19 Response.”

Collectively this slate has one thing that no other slate has EXPERIENCE! Running the day-to-day business of the Union, negotiating contracts, sitting on the executive board, maintaining our relationships with contractors and politicians and sitting as trustees on the Benefit Funds.”

Other things you want to say about the slate or specific members on the slate:

“I believe President/Business Manager Timothy Sappington and Vice President Aaron Gray will continue to move our Union forward with Honesty, Integrity and Respectability.”

“I support the PROGRESS Through TRUTH Slate because I have either worked with them at some point in my career or had the pleasure to represent them in my time as a Business Representative or later as the President/Business Manager of the Local.  All were and have been excellent operators, which should be the first criteria to represent the members of Local 513.”

Other things you want to say about the slate or specific members on the slate:

“Tim Sappington is one of the most honest and straightforward individuals I have ever known.  Through his years as an operator in the field, his time at our training center as an Instructor and the Administrator of the program.  Tim’s integrity is without question and his commitment to the well being of the members is commendable.

I am proud to call Tim my friend and also my President/Business Manager.  Tim and his full slate of Officers and Business Representatives have my full support.”

“I fully believe we’re being looked after with the best intentions for the progress of our future. I’m a third-generation operator. My family has 109 years of combined service between my grandfather, father, and myself. The choice is simple. I chose facts and merit over fear-mongering and gaslighting.”

I’ve seen changes enacted already that have and will continue to benefit our membership.

Our school has always been our pride and joy because we’ve paid for it ourselves and even though our States legislators have tried to take that advantage away by funding Linn St Tim made the tough decision in regards to upping the funding for OUR school to make sure we had the proper equipment and enough instructors to give our membership the best training possible to maintain that advantage.

Tim strengthened our school’s standing and he’s doing the same with OUR local.

Under Aaron Gray, we have also gained equipment and language in the outstate that was lost several decades ago to other craft. Those gains have added additional hours into our pension and other benefits.

Aaron has several seats on very important boards in the outstate because they know he will and has protected union jobs. Those seats are how we affect positive change for our future.

We have a powerful voice and it’s through the Progress with Truth platform.
