I am proud to be a part of an organization that has provided for my family, a good living and benefits for 50 years.
What does the Financial Secretary do for 513?
The Financial Secretary receives all monies and all funds paid to the Local Union; to pay all funds received by him to the Treasurer upon receiving Treasurer’s receipt therefor; to keep a correct financial account of each member together with the name and address of each; to announce before the adjournment of each meeting the amount of funds collected thereat by him; to report at the end of each month to the Local Union the number of members in good standing; to make a monthly written report to the General Secretary-Treasurer of all admissions, deaths, resignations, expulsions and suspensions. I also hold a trustee position on the JATF and am on the Board of Trustees for Health & Welfare, Annuity, Pension and Vacation funds.

I followed my Father’s footsteps, who has been with 513 for 50 years.

I have helped negotiate Shop and Quarry contracts with John H. Smistk and Gary W. Howard, along with negotiating the SITE, AGC, St. Louis City and Metropolitan Sewer Districts agreements.

Steve and his wife reside in Villa Ridge. He was raised in Union and is a proud lifelong resident of Franklin County.
