What does being a member of 513 mean to Steve?
I have a tremendous sense of pride being a member of this great organization. On the job, we are faced with tremendous responsibility in the performance of our daily work especially since the Operating Engineer typically set the pace for the entire job. As an agent, I take honor in upholding the negotiated contracts, wages, and benefits that take care of the member and their family.
What does the Recording-Corresponding Secretary do for 513?
It is the job of the Recording-Corresponding Secretary to record and report the minutes of all meetings, read all correspondence, and assign orders upon the Treasurer for the disposition of funds.
How did Steve get started with 513?
I started in the trade as a mechanic while I was waiting to start the apprentice program.

I feel my greatest accomplishment while in my current position within the organization was the opportunity to be part of the negotiating committee. It was a great honor to sit in the room defending the existing contracts our members work under, fight to strengthen them further, and bring them to the membership to be voted on.
